HOW IT WORKS
Send us your Video tapes, Film or DVD's
Pack in a quality box. Wrap in a thin lay of paper or bubble wrap works best. If you have the original tape case that a great protector.
We will unpack and send you a picture of what we received. After digitizing, your files will be available by digital download.
Your original media will then be return along with any item you purchased such as memory stick or DVD's

MAGNETIC TAPE LIFE
Most magnetic tape has a limited lifespan. If stored under ideal conditions, it can still be played successfully. However, if the tape is over 20 to 30 years old and has been exposed to extreme temperatures, it may develop mold or experience sticky shed syndrome.

RESTORATION
Broken, torn, damaged, or cracked tapes can often be repaired using a donor housing. You might be surprised at how much material can be salvaged. We can also bake tapes affected by sticky shed syndrome, which tends to yield the best results. However, once the tapes are baked, there is a limited time frame before the binder breaks down permanently.

Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and memories during the viewing. We then record this audio track and add it to the final digitized file, along with any music you would like to include.
